Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a space, which is complicate in shape and difficult to be reinforced from outside, to be filled with a synthetic resin foam, by providing the space with a sponge, etc., prior to pouring of a foaming liquid and reducing an entire volume of the sponge to approximately 1/2 after the foam has been solidified.
CONSTITUTION: A formed material 4, which is an elastic body having a small elasticity coefficient such as a sponge and a polyurethane foam, etc., is arranged to the extent of 1/10W1/2 of an entire volume of a space. The space is filled (or charged) with a volume, which is sufficient for filling the remaining portion of the space but insufficient for filling 100% of the space, of a liquidized plastics foam such as polyurethane foam, etc. When the liquidized material is allowed to foam and expand throughout inside of the space and solidified into a polyuretane foam 5, the sponge, etc. 4 becomes approximately 1/2 of its initial volume. It is positively possible, in this manner, to fill all the sections of a narrow space with polyuretane foam without causing deformation to any component material.
