Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide such a printing hammer mechanism that a hammer of which the only the portion to be struck is so wide as to come over two printing lines may print selected character types on a type carrier by hammering, for keeping printing quality constant for a long period of time and reducing printing cost.
CONSTITUTION: When struck by a actuator lever 2 rotated by a magnet, the portion 4a at the rear end of a hammer 3 flies toward a charater type 13 placed on a type carrier 12 running in arrow E direction at a high speed and makes printing on paper 14 with ink ribbon 15 so that odd number line printing is performed. Next, even number line printing is made with the hammer 3 operation performed when the portion 4b at the rear end 4 of all the hammers 3 on a hammer support table 7 is struck by a driving member.
