Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable accurate measurement for the rolling resistance of rotaty body such as tire without error due to displacement of the measurement frame and the curvature of drum, by making compensation so that the amount of strain by the measuring force of the measuring system can be zeroed.
CONSTITUTION: The rolling resistance RR caused between the tire 4 and the ground of drum 1 with the revolution of the tire 4, is delivered to the shaft 10, fluis bearing 12, support frame 11, measuring frame 13, and load cell 21. The friction resistance moment caused on the bearing of the flange 8 is given to the foundation side 23 via the arm 22 and the metal fixture 25, and only the rolling resistance of tire is delivered to the load cell.
