Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the desulfurization and regeneration possible to be efficiently executed, by arranging alternately respective reaction chambers for desulfurization and regeneration, by making the current of the fluidization medium (desulfurization agent) to be a single pass, and by transferring the fluidization medium sequentially to both reaction chambers.
CONSTITUTION: The desulfurization agent being supplied from the feed pipe 15 into the desulfurization chamber I is introduced into the regeneration chamber II through the opening 6 installed at the lower part of the partition wall 4 as shown by the arrow 5. Next, the regenerated desulfurization agent is introduced from the opening 8A of the partition wall 4A into adjoining desulfurization chamber III as shown by the arrow 7. The desulsurization agent held in the desulfurization chambers I, III, and the regeneration chambers II, IV, is fluidized by the gas being introduced through the gas distributers 1, 2. The transference of the desulfurization agent into the regeneration chambers II, IV, is executed by the fluid jet energy of the fluid injected through the fluid injection nozzle 3 installed nearby the opening 6. The transference of the desulfurization agent from the regeneration chamber II into the desulfurization chamber III is executed by the overflow through the opening 8A.
