Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise the temperature of lubricant within a lubricant flow-way by cooling water permitting the lubricant flow-way, where the end of inlet port is communicating with the oil pan of an internal combustion engine, is passing through the water jacket within a cylinder block to communicate to the main gallery of the internal combustion engine.
CONSTITUTION: Oil pan 1 and main gallery 5 of an engine are communicated by means of lubricant flow-ways 11 and 13. The lubricant admitted to a side flow- way 13 is passing through a pipe 15 disposed within water jackets 22a and 24a of cylinder head 21 and cylinder block 23 allowing to heat by the heat conducted from the cooling water within water jackets 22a and 24a through a pipe to reach to the main gallery 15 subsequently. This enables the warming-up of engine cold start to improve and the friction loss in start to reduce, improving fuel cost.
