CONSTITUTION:Once an earthquake occurs and shock-sensing switch 13 operates, power supply to motor 5 is cut off through the operation of driver circuit 6, a deceleration pattern is generated by pattern generator 14, and a voltage in accordance with the pattern is generated by voltage converter 15 and then applied across a comparator. The output of speed generator 7, on the other hand, is waveform- shaped by waveform shaping circuit 8 and supplied to the comparator. Here, when the output of speed generator 7 is greater than that of pattern generator 14, a brake starts operating to decelerate the speed of the rotation of a disc smoothly to a stop as shown by the dotted line.
