Abstract

PURPOSE: To make strobe operation simple by providing a power source switch which may be operated from the camera side when the strobe is mounted to the exclusive camera and is so selectable as to permit operation form the strobe side when mounted to a general camera.
CONSTITUTION: When a strobe 6 is mounted to an exclusive camera 1, an operating pin 36 pushes the extending part 32 of the power source switch 23 of the strobe 6 and a power source switch 23 goes ON. When the strobe 6 is mounted to a general camera, a changeover plate 44 contacts the side part of the camera body and is drawn into the inside, then a switch changeover piece 43 is now movable by the finger. When it is tilted leftward, the extending part 32 of the power source siwtch 23 actuates, causing the power source switch to go ON. This enables the strobe to be used like the exclusive strobe even when it is mounted to the camera of different specifications and therefore the user will not make errors in operation because the operation is simple even if the strobe is mounted to any camera.
