Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve a combustion performance and a charge efficiency by charging a supercharge air and the atmosphere from respective port volutionally during the low load with the supercharge air to charge from both ports during the high load.
CONSTITUTION: A cylinder head 1 is provided with a change-over valve communicated to an exhaust valve and an intake port 2a not shown in the figure and with a change-over valve 4b communicated to a superchange port 2b. One end of both ports 2a and 2b is opened to the atmosphere with the other end opened toward the communication tube 13 which is communicated to the compressor 22 of supercharger 20. The communication tube 13 are provided internally with the intake valve 15 and the communication valve 14 are located by actuating oppositely change-over respectively, both of valves 14 and 15 thereof are actuated by a controller 17 regulated by revolutions. During the low load, the intake valve is opened with the communication valve 14 closed, reversing them during the high load condition. Besides, both of ports 2a and 2b are opened tangentially toward the combustion chamber 8.
