Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable measurement of exygen concentrations in gaseous and liquid phases by a simple switching operation by forming a switching circuit by a diaphragm electrode mounted with a negative temperature resistor and a plurality of different resistance circuits.
CONSTITUTION: An oxygen concentration measuring instrument consists of an oxygen electrode unit 1 and an instrument unit 2 having an amplifier 3 including two or more different composite resistance circuits. The alteration of the oxygen transmission coefficient by temperature is automatically compensated by the amplifier 3 to thus measure oxygens in gaseous and liquid phases by the same instrument. A changeover switch S is closed at its contact a at air oxygen measuring time and the temperature variation is automatically compensated by a composite resistance ZA circuit in the closed loop of the amplifier 3. The change-over switch is closed at its contact b at liquid oxygen measuring time to automatically compensate the temperature variation in the composite resistance ZW and/or RW circuit in the closed loop of the amplifier 3.
