Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a compact motive power transmission device which can be inclined to a rotary shaft, by coupling one member of a universal joint to the rotary shaft and mounting a pulley, sprocket or the like on the outside of another member of the joint. CONSTITUTION:The inner member 3 of a universal joint is coupled to a rotary shaft 1 by a pin 2. A sprocket 7 is mounted on the outer member 5 of the joint. The sprocket 7 can be tilted to the rotary shaft 1 by the universal joint. Another universal joint employing a ball 24 may be used. A pulley 27 for a V-belt is mounted on the outer member 26 of the latter universal joint.
