Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent production of thermal NOxX at burning step of fuel in the combustion device for an industrial ceramic furnace by supplying inert gas except for nitrogen in an oxidizer feeding system.
CONSTITUTION: Oxygen amount supplied from a tube 12 to a combustion furnace 2 is supplied proportionally to the combustion amount supplied to the furnace 2. When the set value of oxygen density is applied in advance to a controller 18, the opening of a damper 15 is controlled to thereby suitably retain the oxygen density in an air duct 13. Since the oxidizer oxygen density is reduced of inert gas is supplied from an inert gas supply tube 19, the damper 15 is operated to close. Accordingly, the extraction of combustion exhaust gas is sopped at boiler burning time to enable discharge of nitrogen existing in the combustion gas out of the system. If inert gas supply is gradually stopped after nitrogen is not existed in the system, combustion exhausts gas containing no nitrogen is extracted to eliminate the production of nitrogen oxide entirely.
