Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the hollow panel from being deformed during heat foaming by sealing the refrigerant within the hollow thereof at the time of printing the hollow plastic panel through a foaming.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of a hollow panel 1 is printed with foaming ink 2 to form patterns on its surface. After closing one end of hollow 3 with a cover 6 fitted to an opening exposed at one end of the hollow panel 1, refrigerant such as water is poured into the hollow 3. Then, another cover 6 is fitted to the other end of the hollow 3 to seal the refrigerant within the hollow 3. Next, the foaming ink 2 is expanded by heating the hollow panel 1 at the temperature over the softening point thereof in a heating furnace 7. After cooling the panel taken out from the heating furnace 7, one cover 6 is removed to exhaust the refrigerant from the follow 3 and the other cover 6 is removed too. This prevents the hollow panel from being deformed because its hollow is filled with the refrigerant at the time of heating.
