Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a yoke of high magnetic permeability and saturated flux density, by stratifying nickel-iron alloy plates with metal plates whose initial permeability and saturated flux density are not less than prescribed values.
CONSTITUTION: Appropriate quantity of nickel-iron alloy plates of 70 to 90% in nickel content are stratified with appropriate quantity of plates of metal such as pure iron, iron alloy, iron-nickel alloy or iron-cobalt alloy whose initial magnetic permeability is not less than 10000 and whose saturated flux density is not less than 10000 G, thereby manufacturing the yoke. Since the saturated flux density Bs of the metal plates such as the pure iron and the permeability μo of the nickel- iron alloy plates of 70 to 90% in nickel content are high, the yoke having high saturated flux density and high permeability is obtained. The thickness of the stratified plates is appropriately selected to obtain desired characteristics for the yoke.
