Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a foamed article having excellent punchability, by adding a modifier comprising a specific polyester polyol, to flexible polyester polyurethane foam.
CONSTITUTION: A foamed article composed of (A) a flexible polyester polyurethane foam containing polyester polyol having an OH value of 40W70, as a polyol component, and (B) 0.2W3wt% (based on the polyester polyol of the (A) component) of a polyester polyol having an OH value of 0W20. The component (B) can be prepared by reacting an aliphatic polyester polyol having a weight average molecular weight of 200W3000, with an aliphatic monocarboxylic acid or a monocarboxylic acid chloride, and decreasing the OH value below 20. The addition of the (B) component is carried out either by adding the (B) component to the raw materials of the (A) component, or by impregnating the foamed polyurethane with the (B) component.
