Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically strip large weight coiled article of protective film by providing automatic feeder, cutter, floating rotary mechanism, take-up recovery means and stacking recovery means. CONSTITUTION:A roll-like coiled article A mounted on a truck 1 is conveyed to a stripping station by an automatic feeder 3. During the automatic conveyance a film portion b1 on the barrel of the article has a split K1 cut by a cutter 7. In the stripping station the roll-like coiled article A is floated from the truck 1 by a floating rotary mechanism and rotated at least one revolution about the roll-like article axis. During this rotation, film portions b1, b2 are cut apart by a cutter, and automatically the barrel film portion b1 is recovered by a take-up recovery means 22 and the barrel film portions b2 and b3 are recovered by a stacking recovery means 32. Thus efficiency and performance of automatically stripping large weight roll-like coiled articles A of protective film B and recovering the film are remarkably improved.
