Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to directly read out the frequency characteristics of the loss of a mixer and the standing wave ratio in a simple manner by combining circuits and by operating switches.
CONSTITUTION: There are provided a lamp voltage generator RG and a sweeping oscillator LO which is driven by the output of the former. This output is fed to a mixer BUT to be detected, and the reflected waves are fed through a directive coupler C2 to a frequency characteristic observing device B2. Moreover, the outputs of a fixed oscillator IO, which is operative to generate the frequency equal to the intermediate frequency, and of the oscillator LO are fed through a mixer M to a mixer DUT, and the reflected waves are fed through a directive coupler C1 to a frequency characteristic observing device B1. Moreover, the intermediate frequency output from the mixer DUT is fed to a frequency characteristic observing device B0. By operating the switches S1, S2 and S3 of the observing circuits thus constructed, the loss of the mixer BUT and the frequency characteristics of the standing wave ratio can be directly read out by the use of the observing devices B1, B2 and B3.
