Abstract

PURPOSE:The titled electrode to give the deburred round face, prepared by installing the ring type groove for introducing the fast gas stream at inside of the magnetically driven are welding electrode for the deburring wotk, and by boring the gas jetting hole communicated to the ring type groove at the face opposite to the cutting plane of the metallic pipe. CONSTITUTION:Above the cutting plane 2 of the metallic pipe O being previously cut, the magnetically driven arc welding electrode 1 for deburring work, is arranged so as to leave a specified gap (g) between the cutting plane 2 and the bottom plane of the electrode 1; within this electrode 1, the ring type groove 3 is installed for introducing the fast gas stream 7; at the bottom plane of the electrode 1 facing against the cutting plane 2 of the metallic pipe 0, the gas jetting hole 4 is bored so as to be communicated to the groove 3. The welding current is supplied from the arcing power source, and the arc 5 is generated across the electrode 1 and the cutting plane 2, and the arc 5 is circumferntially rotated at high speed owing to the interaction of the arcing current and the magnetic field; the heat of the arc melts the burr 6 generated at the cutting plane 2 while the cutting work, and the molten burr is scattered and perfectly removed away by the fast gas stream 7 jetted from the gas jetting hole 4 of the electrode 1.
