Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the looseness between the brush slide and an insulator in a brush holder even used at high temperature by providing a cut and raised lug at the outer periphery of the brush slide and inserting the lug into the hole of the inner wall of the insulator.
CONSTITUTION: A brush slide 14 of metal tube is inserted into the hole 12a of an insulator 12 of synthetic resin to be engaged with a tightening screw 13 provided at the insulator 12 with a cutout 15 perforated at one end of the slide 14. A cut and raised lug 16 is provided at the intermediate portion of the slide 14, and when the screw 13 is engaged within the cutout 15 of the sldie 14, the lug 16 is inserted into the hole 12a on the inner wall by the spring action thereof. Even if the insulator 12 is thus contracted by the overheat under high temperature use, there occurs no looseness between the slide 14 and the insulator 12 to thereby retain preferable rectifying state.
