Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a radio noise prevention effect without loss of ignition energy by reducing only peak value of capacitive discharge current by forming an insulator layer having a high magnetic permeability on any one of rotor electrode and peripheral electrode at least. CONSTITUTION:The insulator layer 11, consisting of ferrite containing oxide as the main component, for example, is provided in such a way that it covers completely the discharge electrode portion 3a of the rotor electrode 3. Also, the insulator layer 11 may be formed on the discharge electrode portion 6 of the peripheral electrode 6. The formation of the insulator layer 11 on the discharge electrode portions 3a and 6a makes the radio noise prevention effect more remarkable.
