Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a memory which is capable of a high-speed writing without using any special means for rewriting by storing the semiconductor chip for the memory circuit and the power cell for holding the information into the same package.
CONSTITUTION: Integrated circuit chip M incorporating the static memory circuit contains driving power electrode A and information holding power electrode B. Within chip M, diode D is installed with the anode and the cathode connected to electrodes B and A respectively. Chip M and cell P are stored into package 10, and writing power source VCC is supplied to power terminal T. Package 10 is formed with the ceramic, resin or the like. The power necessary for holding the information corresponds to the leak current featuring an extremely small amoung of the leak, and as a result the information can be held for a long time with use of power P featuring a large amount of capacity. Thus the writing is possible in a high speed.
