In case of stereophonic broadcase, a pilot signal of 55.125 KHz is detected 13 from the output of FM detection 5 and then AM-detected 14, and filter 15 extracts a signal of 982.5 Hz, thereby putting changeover circuit 10 into stereophonic operation by switching via Schmitt circuit 16.
