Abstract

PURPOSE:To make an increase of anode compound filling quantity into the thin type cell, by means of applying a molded anode constructed in a manner with anode compound and ion penetrable porous film being pressurized in one unit. CONSTITUTION:With a porous film 1 set in place within a metal mold stand 2 and tube frame 3, and an anode compound 4 filled, a pressurization is made from above by a top frame 5 to construct a molded anode 6. It is suitable for the porous film 1 to use about 10 to 200mu thick films, polypropylene, acrylate grafted polyethylene, ethylene acrylate copolymerized film, vinylon film, or those above plastic fiber non- woven fabric, acetyl cellulose, cellophane, cellulose system film. For the anode compound 4, active materials, silver oxide, silver sub-oxide manganese dioxide, mercury oxide, nickel peroxide, etc. are used, and those including a conduction agent like carbon black are used as necessary. In this way, even when the total mold thickness of the anode is made to, for instance, less than 0.8mm, no crack or deformation comes to be evidenced, and so a metal made ring-shape base seat is made unnecessary, with the compound filling quantity increased by that amount, thus the discharge capacity can be increased.
