Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent deposition of coolant on the rolling material having passed through work rolls by setting the position and angle of the coolant spraying nozzle disposed on the exit side of the work rolls at the specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:The coolant being spouted from the coolant headers 7, 8 provided on the inlet side of work rolls 1 is flown off and removed from the rolling material 2 by the air being spouted from the nozzle 13 provided on the outlet side of the rolls 1. When in this constitution X is let to be the distance from the end of the material 2 side up to the point of collision of the air being spouted from the nozzle 13, Y to be the distance from the roll bite up to the end part of the nozzle 13 and theta to be the angle assumed by the axial line l of the rolls 1 and the axial line of the nozzle 13, then these are set at the following conditions.
