Abstract

PURPOSE: To heat the short end part easily to brazing temperature by heating from the long end part, and form brazed part having extremely small void and other residues, by heating from the long end part of the overlapped part of a pair of strip form base metals and charging the solder from the short end part.
CONSTITUTION: The end parts of a pair of strip form base metals 6, 7 are worked at a specified angle within 15° to 75° with respect to the longitudinal direction, and are laid over each other. Orienting the acute angle sides of the ends of base metals 6, 7 in the same direction, the both metals are caused to abut against each other so that the overlapping part 8 may form a triangular or trapezoidal shape. By heating only the long end part 9, the entire overlapping part 8 may be easily heated to brazing temperature. Since a temperature lowering gradient exists from the long end part 9 to the short end part 10 in the overlapping part 8, by charging the solder from the short end part 10 side, the molten solder may be spread uniformly in the direction of long end part 9. Thus, a sound brazed part free of void, flux and other residues may be obtained.
