Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A photoconductive material 3 which has photosensitivity to red and a photoconductive material 4 which transmits red color light and does not have photo sensitivity to red are laminated on a conductive substrate 2 having multiple openings 1b. After negaive primary charging then positive secondary charging are applied to this screen photoreceptor 1 from the material 4 side, it is radiated with light images, whereby electrostatic latent images are formed. An image forming material 5 is disposed on the material 4 side and its back electrode 6 and substrate 2 are kept at the same potential, thence AC corona ions are radiated from the substrate 2 side by an AC power source 7 and corona charger 8. In the regionI corresponding to the white portions of the orginal, the positive and negative ions arrive at the member 5 and the charge quantities become nearly zero. In the region II corresponding to the red color portions, the positive ions arrive at said member and in the region III corresponding to the black color portions, negative ions arrive, thus the latent images conforming to the colors of the originals are formed.
