Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a satisfactory brightness of a lamp as a general use of illunination, by curving a tubular bulb almost into a U-shape, obtaining a cruved pipe bulb and suitably determining its length and diameter. CONSTITUTION:To one side of a base 1 a screw-typed cap 2 is integrally attached, and to the other side a fluorescent lamp 3 is fixed. Said lamp 3 is enclosed by a globe 4 as required. A bulb 5 of the above described fluorescent lamp 3 is formed into a curved shape in such a manner that firstly a straight tubular glass is curved almost into a U-shape at its central portion secondly both end parts divided by the curved part of said U-shape are folded into a U-shape in the direction perpendicularly intersecting the plane including the before said U-shaped central portion finally as a total unit to obtain a form of horse saddlelike shape. A tube length of the bulb 5 is arranged to within 420mm., while its diameter to at least 16.5mm. and at most 21.0mm..
