Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the formation of the thin-film of resistance heating elements of even quality in a stable state by forming a heatresistant insulating layer on the outside circumference of a substrate, coating the solution composed primarily of tin compound on the outside circumference thereof then heating the same to set.
CONSTITUTION: A feed roller 72 is revolved to transfer the liquid-form resistance heating element material 50' composed primarily of an organic tin compound in the state of film onto a coating roller 74, by which it is coated on the surface of the core metal 47 of the heating roller 27 making rolling contact with the coating roller 74. The core metal 47 having been coated with the resistance heating element material 50' is sent out from the coater 70 and is sent into a dryer 77 while revolving, with guide rails 75, 76 as guides. While the core metal 47 having been coated with the resistance heating element material 50' is being revolved, it is passed through a heating chamber 78, by which the tin compound is baked to form a resistance heating element layer 50. Thus, the thin film of the resistance heating element may be formed in a stable state.
