Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain an operating mechanism which can be operated easily and surely and which is superior from a standpoint of human engineering by a method wherein the setting of humidity for a ultrasonic humidifier is conducted by the sliding operation of an operating knob.
CONSTITUTION: A nylon ribbon 14 is put on a pin 7 fixed to the 1st operating plate 3 rotatable around a support point A and on pins 5 fixed to the lower part of a box body 1. The 1st operating plate 3 is energized by a tension spring 8 and the lower end thereof touches the 2nd operating plate 4 with a setscrew 17. The 2nd operating plate 4 is supported rotatably around an axis 6, while a magnet 11 being fixed to the tip thereof, and is energized by a tension spring 9. The magnet 11 is applied for opening and closing a lead switch 18. In addition, a lever 20 is fitted to the tip of the axis 6 projecting outside of the box body 1, while a U-shaped groove 19 formed at the tip of the lever 20 being engaged with the tab 21 of a slider 22 moved by a knob 23. It may also be advisable to conduct setting by sliding electrically a knob of variable resistance.
