Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a coil having a constant wire tension and no slack by winding wire around a cylindrical bobbin, and applying pressure on this by using four clamps in order to form into a desired shape, before impregnating with varnish and drying to solidify. CONSTITUTION:Wire is wound around a cylindrical bobbin 6 through insulator to form a cylindrical coil 5. Detachable split-pattern wedges 7 and 8 are inserted inside the bobbin 6. Four clamps 9 and 10 are provided on the outer surface of the bobbin 5 so as to be perpendicular to axes radially perpendicular to each other. Pressure in the direction of a radial, center axis is applied on each of the clamps 9 and 10 in order to form the cylindrical coil into a desired rectangular shape. After that, the bolts 11 and 12 are made to penetrate through the fixed holes in the two pairs of the opposed clamps 9 and 10, and the clamps are secured by means of nuts 13. Then external pressures P1 and P2 are removed, and after the varnish impregnation and drying, the clamps 9 and 10 and the wedges 7 and 8 are removed. Thus, a desired rectangular coil can be obtained.
