PURPOSE:To eliminate a forced cooling and to provide a rapid, positive and accurate response in a liquid pressure control recording method by a heating of recording liquid in which a mean value of a rate of variation of time in response to a temperature at the thermal acting surface contacting with the heated liquid is made to be a specified value. CONSTITUTION:Pulse signal which is turned ON or OFF at the time tO or tP is applied to the electrical-thermal change-over means 2 and a surface temperature at the thermal acting surface contacting with the thermal acting part 7 in the orifice 5 is varied from a starting temperature Ti to the maximum temperature TP as the time is passed, resulting in making a curve shown in the drawing. Decreasing speed in which a surface temperature is decreased in case of the OFF electrical signal is varied or influenced by a rate of change in time at the surface temperature T at a time tauO. The mean value of the time rate of change in case of heating is higher than 1X10<6> deg.C/sec, thereby an attenuation curve of the surface temperature at the thermal acting surface after the electrical signal is turned off is effectively made to be a rapid curved one without using any special cooling means.
