Abstract

PURPOSE: To seal the pin holes made in plated layer simply, easily, quickly at a low cost and to improve the corrosion resistance remarkably, by skin-pass cold rolling of a material on which a plated layer has been formed, then by heating the plated layer for recrystallization.
CONSTITUTION: A material having been plated in an electrolytic soln. is skin-pass cold rolled, then it is heated at recrystallization temp., whereby new metallic structure is formed in the plated layer and pin holes are sealed. That is, recrystallization is caused by heating, and pin holes are eliminated during the change from columnar structure to granular recrystallized structure, so that corrosion resistance of the plated material is improved remarkably.
