Abstract

CONSTITUTION: As for a magnetic disk applied with a lubricant on its surface, the proportion by volume of a powder component such as γFe2O3 and αFe2O3 in the magnetic coating is specified between 25W40% so as to improve the holding characteristics of the coating surface to the lubricant which does not get to fit the magnetic coating chemically. Namely, when the volume rate of the powder component is fixed at between 25W40%, it is made easier for a liquid substance for the lubricant to intrude along the boundary between the powder and resin, so that the durability of the coating will be improved.
