Abstract

PURPOSE: To attain laminar intake through a simple construction, by dividing the air passage of a laminar intake type internal combustion engine into two intake passages by a partition wall and providing the air passage with an injection valve to inject more fuel into one of the intake passages.
CONSTITUTION: The downstream portion of an air passage 5 is divided by a partition wall 13 into the first feed passage 12-1 having the first throttle valve 11-1 and the second feed passage 12-2 having the second throttle valve 11-2. These feed passages communicate with a laminar intake type internal combustion engine 1 through the first and the second intake passage 2-1, 2-2 defined on the downstream sides of the feed passages. The partition wall 13 is provided with a through hole 14. An injection nozzle 6 is provided in the wall of the second intake passage to inject fuel toward the hole 14. According to this constitution, more fuel is supplied into the first intake passage 2-1 to make a thick mixture. A thin mixture is made in the second intake passage 2-2.
