Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove foams between a die and the surface of a molded part and to improve the molding efficiency by a method wherein after the whole circumference of a split die in which unvulcanized rubber material is inserted is covered air-tightly and pressure therein is reduced, both dies are made near to each other and rubber material is heated and vulcanized.
CONSTITUTION: Upper and lower holders 1, 2 in a combined state which are taken from between upper and lower heating plates are separated and a plate material 20 is placed on the lower die 4. Then, when the upper holder 1 is made to fall toward the lower holder 2 and the lower surface of the upper die 3 comes to a level nearly 10mm from the material 20, the upper holder 1 stops falling. Then, the air in the space enclosed by the upper holder 1, the lower holder 2, an upper covering frame 8 and an lower covering frame 12 is adsorbed to reduce the pressure in the space. After the pressure has been reduced, the upper die 3 is placed tightly on the material 20 on the lower die 4, both dies are closed, the dies placed between the upper and lower holders 1, 2 are inserted between the upper and lower heating plates of the press as the pressure continues to be reduced, both holders 1, 2 press each other, the material 20 is filled in the cavities 15, 16 of these dies and vulcanized.
