Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a glass fiber reinforced denitrating catalyzer excelling in strength, heat resistance and activity, by holding powder TiO2 carrier with glass fiber product fitted to a metal substrate for holding the shape, and holding the catalyzer components on this carrier.
CONSTITUTION: A glass fiber reinforced denitrating catalyzer is constituted of a metal substrate for holding a desired shape, such as flat plate, corrugated plate, tube and bar, a glass fiber product fitted to this metal substrate, powder TiO2 carrier held with glass fiber product, and catalyzer components held on the TiO2 carrier. As said glass fiber product, cloth of glass fiber, nonwoven fabric, or mat may be used. When the metal substrate 1 shown in the drawing is a flat plate, for example, the upper and lower sides of the substrate 1 are held with a pair of glass fiber products 2, and the entire assembly is joined with clasps 3. To hold the powder carrier on the products 2, for example, a low concentration slurry containing powder carrier is impregnated in the products 2. Further, by ordinary method, one or more kinds of compounds of catalyzer metals such as V, Cr, Mn and Fe are held on the carrier, so that the intended glass fiber reinforced denitrating catalyzer may be obtained.
