Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove noncondensable gas easily by a method wherein the bottom of a lower header of a heat exchange panel in a low-temperature duct is inclined, and a liquid of condensed medium is collected to a major diameter end of the lower header.
CONSTITUTION: The bottom 7 of a lower header 4L' of a heat exchange panel in a low-temperature duct 3' is inclined by angle α to horizontal. Therefore, a liquid of medium condensed at the lower header 4L' is collected to a major diameter end 9, and the liquid flows into a lower header 2L' of a heat exchange panel in a high- temperature duct by gravity. A flow of the medium between the heat exchange panel in the high-temperature duct and the panel in the low-temperature duct becomes constant in direction, a noncondensable gas stays in an upper drum 4U', which can be removed easily by opening a vent valve 8.
