PURPOSE:To discriminate malfunctions of a voltage/frequency converter easily by applying FF with a string of output pulses from the converter and by securely discriminating the output of the FF by the 1st light emitting diode connected to a noninversion terminal and the 2nd light emitting diode connected to an inversion terminal. CONSTITUTION:To the output side of voltage/frequency converter 10, FF14 is connected and output signal Vf of converter 10 is supplied to clock input terminal CK of FF 14 to trigger FF14 at the rise of output signal Vf of converter 10. To noninversion output terminal Q of the FF14, the 1st light emitting diode 16 is connected and to inversion output terminal Q', the 2nd light emitting diode 18 is also conneced; while either diode 16 or 18 is made to come on with converter 10 in normal operation, alternate diodes 16 and 18 come on at a low oscillation frequency and diodes 16 and 18 appear to come on simultaneously through the residual image effect at a high frequency, so that the normal operation and malfunction of converter 10 can easily be discriminated.
