Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the even two-dimensional scanning and reading of high resolution of original surface possible by providing a subscanning deflector which changes the deflecting surface formed by laser beams at the specified speed, a photo detector for detecting reflecting light, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The laser scanning is constituted by a laser light source 11 which outputs laser beams, a focusing lens system which limits the beam spot to a suitable size, a galva mirror 13 which scans laser light to the main scanning direction, a rotary reflecting mirror 14 for scanning the same laser light in the subscanning direction (Y direction), a photo detector 17 which moves in the Y direction along with its turning, etc. With such constitution, the reflected beams of the laser light entering the galva mirror 13, reaches the original 15 through the reflecting mirror 14, and is received in the photo detector 17, which supplies the electric signal corresponding to its intensity to the processing part. In this case, the pass distance of the beam is maintained constant irrespective of the turning angle of the reflecting mirror 14, thus the even scanning and reading of high resolution become feasible.
