Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a transfer sheet with a sharp outline and excellent in the effect for beauty by applying water following the vacuum deposition of metal on a water- swelling resin layer partially provided on a coloring ink layer applied on a film base material through a peeling agent.
CONSTITUTION: A peeling agent layer is provided over the entire surface of heatproof film base material. A desired pattern is applied with the coloring ink layer 13 and a water swelling resin layer 14A is provided excluding the part intended for the metal deposition film and further an deposition film layer 15 is applied entirely over the layer by vacuum deposition of metal. As water is applied entirely by immersing the whole body into the water or the like, the water swelling resin layer 14A absorbs water and becomes a layer 14B with a remarkable increase in the volume. With the removal of the swelled resin by the mechanical method, the metal evaporation film 15 can be left in the desired portion. Then, the thermosensitive adhesive layer 16 is provided over the entire film to obtain a partially evaporated transfer sheet 1.
