Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit the mechanization of insertion work and to simplify the structure as well by forming an interphase insulator in anchor ring shape and by providing round tipped notch sections radiated from external circumference wherein the insulator is inserted between phases of windings so that internal circumference may be a stator core side. CONSTITUTION:The base material of an interphase insulator 5 is formed in anchor ring shape and the inside diameter is formed like an oval. Radial notches 6 are provided from the external circumference side of the anchor ring shaped interphase insulator 5. The tips are roundly formed and the width of the notch at the external side is also broadened to prevent split. Furthermore, projections 7 for position are provided at an internal circumference side. In using the interphase insulator 5, the first phase winding 2 is incorporated in a core 1. Then, the interphase insulator 5 is inserted while positioning by the projection sections 7 and finally, the second phase winding 3 is inserted. This method permits the use of an inserter which is the machine to insert the interphase insulator.
