Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an H2 absorbent occluding a large amount of H2, having an appropriate equilibrium pressure and exhibiting a high reaction rate by mixing an La-Ni alloy with a specified amount of a Ti-Zr-Cr-Mn alloy, a Ca-Ni alloy, a Ti-Mn alloy or a Ti-Mn alloy or a Ti-Fe alloy.
CONSTITUTION: An La-Ni alloy 25W90% is mixed with the following alloy 75W 10%: a Ti-Zr-Cr-Mn alloy, a Ca-Ni alloy, a Ti-Mn alloy or a Ti-Fe alloy. Prior to use, the resulting H2 absorbent is pulverized to 80W120 mesh and optionally evacuated with heating.
