Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit the reduction of the dose of radiation as well as obtain a desired timing of X-ray photographing while making an X-ray fluorescopic operation by providing a secondary electron multiplier to multiply the output of optical images from an X-rays-fluorescence converter. CONSTITUTION:When a voltage and current matching a photographing condition is given to the X-ray tube, X-rays generate, pass through the object 2, enters the incidental face of the X-ray image multiplier 3, and then focuses into an X-ray image. The secondary electron multiplier 4 is provided on the output side of the X- ray image multiplier 3, by which X-ray image is multiplied to approximately 10<4> and converted into a clear optical image which is, in turn, focused by the lens of the optical system 7 and then distributed to the television camera 8 and the still camera 9 by the half mirror 7a. Thus, because the optical image distributed to the still camera 9 is made to have a sufficient intensity of radiation, photographing on the film 9b can be performed any time by operating the shutter 9a of the camera 9 during the fluorescopic operation at a low-output X-ray load.
