Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent discoloration of non-plating surface by mechanically removing the black yellowish oxides produced on the non-plating surface and coating an anti-discoloration agent on the non-plating surface, in one-side electroplating. CONSTITUTION:In one-side electroplating of a steel plate, a polishing body which rubs the non-plating surface is provided on the exit side of a plating bath to remove the discoloration produced on the non-plating surface. At the same time or immediate after this, an anti-discoloration agent is coated on the non-plating surface. The use of tertiary phosphate, borate as the anti-discoloration agent is desirable.
