Abstract

PURPOSE:To assemble an electric motor easily, and prevent abnormal sounds from being generated by fan guides, by mounting fan guides each of which has cooling fins and air vents upon rotor shaft inside an electric motor casing. CONSTITUTION:Fan guides 18 each of which has cooling fins 18b, air vents 18c, and a base portion 18a in the central portion thereof are formed by punching a metal plate or molding a resin. The fan guides 18 are fixedly mounted on knurled portions 8a, 8b of a rotary shaft 8, which are within a casing 17. This allows the installation of the fan guides to be carried out easily. Since vibrations are not transmitted to the fan guides 18, abnormal sounds are never generated. According to this invention, the fan guides can be manufactured at a low cost as compared with fan guides in which cooling fins are integrally formed with a rotor conductor by die casting aluminum.
