Abstract

PURPOSE: To avoid occurrenece of buzz or hum by giving the SIF synchronous detection to the signals sent from the video IF filter through the aural carrier amplifier circuit with the video carrier wave used as the reference signal of the synchronous detection circuit.
CONSTITUTION: Video IF filter 15 contains output terminal V featuring the video IF band wave characteristics obtained by attenuating sufficiently the aural carrier part and output terminal S featuring the band characteristics to pass only the aural carrier wave by means of, for example, the elastic surface wave filter. Then the output of terminal V is applied to synchronous detection circuit 4 via video IF amplifier 3 for the synchronous detection, and at the same time SIF syncrhonous detection 17 is given to the signals sent from terminal S via aural carrier amplifier circuit 16 with the video carrier wave used as the reference signal of circuit 4. As a result, the phase change caused by the modulation degree and the frequency of the video signal can be reduced for the reference signal, thus avoiding occurrence of the buzz or hum.
