Abstract

PURPOSE: To cut negative impulse together with positive impulse by a compact construction such as provision of a series circuit consisting of a capacitor and a resistor.
CONSTITUTION: When a negative impulse is supplied, a trigger pulse consisting of a negative waveform part and a positive waveform part is obtained at the grid of a thyratron 9. The thyratron 9 is triggered by the positive waveform portion, and the pulse voltage cutting control device 11 cuts the negative impulse. If a positive impulse is generated at the output end of an impulse voltage generating device 1, a positive rising waveform is obtained at a connection middle point 28 of a capacitor 21 and a resistor 22 in correspondence with the generation of the positive impulse, and the thyratron 9 is triggered.
