Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable emergency steering without erroneous operation in main steering equipment employing an oil pressure booster steering system, by functioning a relay for functioning an electric motor through self-holding circuit at the emergency thus operating the electric motor.
CONSTITUTION: When a key is turned to turn on the starter switch SW1 thus to start the engine, the oil pressure in main steering equipment increases to turn on the limit switch LS3. Consequently the relay R2 is excited to turn on the contact r2 while turn off r2'. Relay R3 is also excited to turn on the contact r3 thus to self hold the circuit 3. If said oil pressure drops by some cause, LS3 is turned off while the contact r2 of the relay R2 is turned off and r2' is turned on. Consequently the relay R1 is excited by the contact r3 in self-holding circuit 3 to turn on the contact r1 thus to operate an electric motor M and the hydraulic motor for emergency steering equipment is driven.
