Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain good transfer images by providing respective destaticizing means to the neighborhood of the start position of the transfer material separating action of a separating means and the position past the seaprating means in front of the transfer material moving direction.
CONSTITUTION: The sensible image on a photoreceptor 1 is transferred to transfer paper 14 in a transfer position 13 by a known system. Thence, the transfer paper 14 is applied with voltage from a corona discharger 24 and is forcefully separated from the photoreceptor 1 by a separating belt 24, after which it is conveyed to a guide plate 26. The 1st destaticizing means 35 is disposed in the region for starting the stripping of the transfer paper 14 between said transfer means and separating means, and destaticization is accomplished by the needle type electric discharge electrodes or the like comprising studding needle electrodes in a substrate. Also, the 2nd destaticization means 36 is disposed in the position where the transfer paper 14 prior to completion of the stripping of the paper 14 is largely curved, by which destaticization is accomplished. By disposing the two destaticization means in this way, the disturbances of the transfer images are well prevented.
