Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve thickness deviation in the vicinity of the rear end of round blank pipe easily, by bulging out the round blank pipe into the groove engraved in the caliber of press roll of the press piercing method, and fitting this bulge-out part to the roll disposed closely to the press roll exit side, and pushing back mainly around the mandrel. CONSTITUTION:A square bloom 4 is pressed in by means of a push-in device 10 in the axial direction between press rolls 1,1'disposed in the vertical direction, and a plug 3 is advanced into the bloom 4 to manufacture a round blank pipe 4'.
