Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit automatic and precise measurement of an output error of a tested measuring instrument for any calibration point by using an economical signal generator for an input-output characteristics calibration device which calibrates static input-output characteristics of the measuring instrument measures physical value.
CONSTITUTION: After setting a full scale value F by a full scale setting device 10, the output is gradually increased by menual operation of a signal generator 1. The output is converted into a voltage signal a and lead to an operator 9 through an SH circuit 5 and an AD circuit 7. A calibration point c is calculated in the operator 9, and the calibration point c is displayed by a display means 11. While monitoring the calibration point c of the display means, the output from the signal generator 1 is varied and the operation is stopped when the desired calibration point is obtained or pulse generation from a sampling pulse generator 4 is stopped to hole the output of the SH circuits 5, 6. At that time, the output b from the tested measuring instrument 2 is read by the operator 9 through the SH circuit 6 and an AD converter 8 and an error ε is calculated and dispayed in the display means 11 together with the calibration point c. Therefore, the input and output characteristics of a measuring instrument 2 at the calibration point c will be measured.
